Are you an experienced Sales Ledger professional, looking for a new opportunity?

We currently have a vacancy for an Accounts Assistant (Sales Ledger) at our modern and friendly Head Office in Milton Keynes.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is seeking a permanent position, working as part of a team, with variety and responsibility within a friendly environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Receive, sort and log daily banking for allocated sites.
  • Complete daily banking posting sheets for allocated sites.
  • Correctly allocate payments to the relevant outstanding SL accounts.
  • Review your SL accounts, resolve queries and distribute weekly debtor reports to your allocated sites.
  • Reconcile cash suspense accounts.
  • Investigate and resolve queries quickly and efficiently.
  • Resolving internal queries quickly and efficiently.
  • Keeping all filing up to date.
  • Highlight to the Finance Manager and/or Group Financial Controller of any known financial risk to the business.
  • Ensure that all systems and procedures in place within the business comply with current legislation and Group policy.

Successful Applicant:

  • Previous experience working in a cashiering/sales ledger role.
  • Used to working in a fast paced environment
  • Confident working to daily, weekly and monthly deadlines
  • Attention to detail.
  • Enthusiastic and motivated.
  • Computer literacy, strong administration and time management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Be a confident communicator both verbal and written.
  • Good team player
  • Kerridge/CDK/Drive experience beneficial but not essential.
  • Automotive experience beneficial but not essential.
