Road Safety Week 2023

Did you know 1 in 4 fatal crashes involve someone driving too fast? This Road Safety Week, Brake are raising awareness around speeding, the benefits of safe speeds and how to manage speed.

Road Safety Week is 19-25th November 2023, find out more below.

Road Safety Week

Road Safety Week is an event organised by Brake, a road safety charity working with communities and companies across the UK to make our roads safer. This year their focus is speed.

Speed is a critical issue for the safety of our roads. It’s important to stick to the speed limits set on the roads you are driving, even travelling at lower speeds than the maximum limit, especially on rural roads and in places where people walk and cycle. As every time you exceed the limit or drive too fast for the conditions the risk of collision is increased.
