The New Toyota Aygo X replaces the Aygo and is Toyota’s most compact vehicle in the Toyota range, offering a unique proposition to car buyers.
Pronounced ‘Aygo Cross’, this compact crossover starts from £15,975 and combines strikingly cool looks with the latest in-car technology, frugal engines, and a suite of safety features often only found in much larger cars.
The New Aygo X has won the hearts of customers and press alike, having won The Sunday Times Motors Award 2022 for City/Small Car of The Year.

The first thing you notice about the New Aygo X is the bold and unmistakeable design of the exterior. The New Aygo X features SUV inspired styling, which ensures it stands out for all the right reasons. With large alloy wheel designs that start from 17” and come with optional diamond cut finishes, oversized wheel arches, striking colours and bi-tone paint schemes, the New Aygo X makes an instant impression.
The design is further complemented with features such as the optional eye-catching LED headlights, the LED rear light signature, tinted rear windows, glass boot lid, wide stance and sharp lines.
One of our favourite features, standard on the Air Edition, is the power folding canvas roof. In just 10 seconds you can retract the entire roof automatically, to give an open-air driving experience for you and your passengers.
The New Aygo X is available in a range of colours from eye-catching shades such as Chilli Red Bi-Tone and Juniper Blue to more subtle colours such as Cardamon Green, or Pure White and Eclipse Black.

Inside the New Aygo X the striking theme continues, with bold colours and materials used throughout which ensures the interior feels special. The New Aygo X interior offers a big upgrade to the previous generation Aygo, with better quality and advanced technology.
The centrepiece of the dashboard is the large touchscreen which starts at 7” and can be upgraded to a 9” HD display. No matter which size screen you choose, all come as standard with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto which allows you to mirror elements of your phone for navigation, communication and entertainment.
The interior is not simply about style and technology though as it offers an elevated seating position which makes it easier to get in and out of, and provides greater visibility of the road ahead. The multifunction steering wheel gives you access to vital controls without having to take your eyes of the road ahead and the instrument cluster and climate controls are easy to read and simple to use.

The New Aygo X comes with a multi-award winning 72hp 1.0 petrol engine which offers up to 58.8mpg, low emissions from 109 g/km, and enough performance to make the car fun and comfortable to drive.
The New Aygo X is available as standard with a manual transmission and can be optioned with an automatic gearbox. The automatic option increases the responsiveness and smoothness of the driving experience and adds to the general comfort of driving a New Aygo X.
The New Aygo X is designed to maximise economic performance, it has the lowest body-in-white weight of any A or B-segment car and the bodywork helps guide airflow to improve MPG.
The New Aygo X requires a service every 12 months or 10,000 miles, whichever comes first. Servicing costs are low and with a service plan you can spread the cost of servicing to one monthly payment starting from less than £30 per month. Every time the Aygo X is serviced at an approved service centre, another year’s manufacturer warranty is added, up to a total of 10 years, which provides great peace of mind.

Despite the New Aygo X being the smallest car in the Toyota range it features 60l more boot capacity than the previous model which means a total of 231l, plus with the rear seats folded down there is over 800l of capacity. The rear seats also fold 50:50, so that you carry larger items and one passenger in the rear at the same time.
The raised ride height of the New Aygo X makes it easier to get in and out of, there is space for four adults and the car now comes with five doors as standard. The interior features a range of storage cubbies, a good size glovebox, door pockets and cup holders.

Toyota Safety Sense is standard on all grades of the New Aygo X and includes advanced features such as Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian and Cyclist Detection which scans the road ahead for hazards, alerts the driver and can automatically brake. The New Aygo X can also monitor the driver to ensure they’re still driving to their full ability and suggest a break when needed. Other features include Intelligent Adaptative Cruise Control, Lane Trace Assist and Emergency Steering Assist.
On some grades the following safety features can be specified such as LED headlights with Automatic High Beam Assist and Road Sign Recognition.

The Aygo X is just 3.7m long and 1.74m wide which allows the Aygo X to provide greater space for passengers and a larger boot than the previous Aygo but it can still fit in the smallest spaces and is easy to drive. The turning circle is just 4.7m which is one of the smallest of any car.
The Aygo X is available with a range of accessories to allow you to further customise your car. These include the ‘Essential Protection Pack’ which includes a boot liner, rubber floor mats and door handle protection film and styling packs which add colour elements to the exterior of the car.
Another useful accessory would be the Toyota Dashcam which integrates seamlessly with your car and records footage whilst driving which can be useful in the event of an accident.
Thanks to the frugal engine which is capable of up to 58.8mpg and the 35l fuel tank, the Aygo X can drive over 400 miles on one tank.
The Aygo X is very safe, thanks to the Toyota Safety Sense package which includes a range of safety features as standard. Thanks to this and the design of the Aygo X, the model scored a 4* EURO NCAP rating.
The Aygo X comes in a range of colours including pure white, silver metallic and Eclipse (black) metallic.
The Aygo X also comes in an exciting selection of bi-tone schemes with a spice colour concept inspired by different spices. These include; Cardamon – as seen on our car, this a refined and understated green metallic, Chilli – a strong red colour with blue metallic flakes, Ginger – a sophisticated and warm colour and Juniper – a saturated dark blue metallic with reddish undertones.
The Aygo X comes with a much larger boot than the previous Aygo, offering 231 litres of capacity. The rear seats fold 50:50 to provide up to 800 litres of capacity.
