Supporting the communities we serve is a fundamental part of who we are. Throughout the 2025 financial year, we were proud to work alongside our manufacturer partners to bring the Toyota and Lexus Community Funds to life across our local communities.
Through these funds, charities, schools and community initiatives can access funding to support meaningful projects, providing vital resources to those who need them most. These initiatives create lasting benefits and help strengthen the communities we are proud to be a part of.
Since the FY25 Community Funds opened in April 2025, we are delighted to have:
One example of this impact is the funding secured by our Toyota Tunbridge Wells Centre for The Oaks Specialist College. The college supports 140 young people with disabilities to obtain work experience and access paid work opportunities. A total of £1,550 was secured via the Toyota Community Fund, which is being used towards residential trips for its learners, providing them with an opportunity to develop their independence, build confidence and create new memories.
Another example is the funding secured by our Toyota Cambridge Centre for Wheels for Martin’s Friends, a charity that helps people of all ages access essential mobility equipment they may otherwise be unable to afford. The charity provides items such as wheelchairs, stairlifts and more, improving independence, enabling physical activity and enhancing overall wellbeing. The £2,000 that was secured via the Toyota Community Fund is helping the charity to replace community wheelchairs it provides to local churches and loans to members of the community who need temporary support.
Our Lexus Hatfield Centre also successfully secured £1,800 through the Lexus Community Fund for Family Lives, a Hertfordshire-based charity dedicated to supporting families living with a loved one in recovery from addiction. The funding is going towards the charity’s Living in Recovery project, enabling additional weekly group and individual support sessions, helping families to build resilience and enhance coping mechanisms.
Charities and community groups, such as those highlighted above, play a vital role in supporting vulnerable individuals and bringing communities together. Funding through the Toyota and Lexus Community Funds enables organisations to deliver projects that may not otherwise be possible. We are extremely proud to play a small part in helping these initiatives succeed.
As we move into the next financial year, we look forward to continuing our work with the Toyota and Lexus Community Funds, supporting even more projects that make a positive difference in our communities.
The Toyota and Lexus Community Funds will reopen in April 2026.
