Funding Secured for Herts Young Homeless

We are thrilled to secure a £1,800 grant for Herts Young Homeless, a Herefordshire-based charity that supports young people facing homelessness. They support young people and their families so they can remain in the family home where possible, as well as helping them find safe, alternative accommodation when needed.

Herts Young Homeless offers education, advice and support for 16-24 year olds and their families. The charity’s key strategic services are prevention and early intervention, crisis intervention and independent living support. This includes a range of services including education, mediation, counselling, outreach, advice hubs and much more.

The experienced workers from Herts Young Homeless have helped over 5,400 young people facing homelessness in the last five years, providing them with the tools and skills required to achieve brighter futures.

The funding secured by our Toyota Letchworth Centre will be used towards establishing and running a new Youth Advisory Board, ensuring that the young people the charity seeks to support are empowered and have a voice.

The Toyota Community Fund is a programme of small grants designed to help local charities, schools and community projects. In the past financial year, the fund has supported many deserving causes in the UK, from schools to cancer care charities.

The Toyota Community Fund is operated by the Toyota (GB) Charitable Trust on behalf of Toyota (GB) PLC and Toyota Financial Services, Registered Charity Number 327808.
