At Steven Eagell Toyota, we’re proud to support grassroots cricket in the communities we represent.
Earlier this year, Toyota signed up as the new Principal Partner of the ECB (England and Wales Cricket Board), while also forming key partnerships with Cricket Ireland and Cricket Scotland to grow the game across the UK and the Republic of Ireland. The manufacturer is supporting both men’s and women’s international teams, championing disability cricket and helping people of all ages, abilities and backgrounds play in local clubs and communities.
The partnership launched in spring with Get Set Weekend, an initiative designed to help cricket clubs prepare for the season ahead. It encourages new and existing volunteers to dedicate time to their local clubs – preparing grounds, organising equipment and getting ready for upcoming matches.
We were proud to support our local cricket clubs during Get Set Weekend. This included providing a hearty breakfast for volunteers, donating gift vouchers to cover the cost of essential building supplies and ground repairs, offering Get Set Weekend kits full of essential goodies, providing volunteer assistance and much more.
In May 2025, Toyota launched the Good For Cricket Prize Draw, a national incentive that aims to help cricket clubs raise vital funds to ensure more people can enjoy the game now and for future generations.
Our Toyota Centres across the East of England, South East, South West Midlands and the West Midlands supported their local cricket clubs by helping them raise funds via the prize draw throughout the summer. Each ticket purchased gave supporters the chance to win one of 54 amazing prizes worth over £230,000, including a brand-new Toyota, money-can’t-buy experiences, gift cards, match tickets, cricket merchandise and more.
The prize draw closed on 30th September. Over 150 clubs in the communities in which our Centres are based registered for the prize draw, raising almost £60,000. Nationally, the Good for Cricket Prize Draw raised an incredible £290,710 to support grassroots cricket across the country. 100% of the proceeds are going back to each club, supporting them with new equipment, professional coaching, improved facilities and much more.
Throughout the summer, the teams at our Toyota Centres also participated in fundraising events, organised sponsorship opportunities and worked closely with clubs to build relationships and maximise their efforts.
For example, we sponsored a children’s cricket summer camp in Ipswich, enabling participants to attend completely free of charge. We also supported a regional cricket festival in Milton Keynes that showcased the very best of local cricket and community spirit, while celebrating rising talent and interest in the sport. Not only this, we displayed Toyota vehicles and installed posters in clubhouses and grounds up and down the country, and many teams are now proudly wearing brand new kits featuring our logo.
This season has been a tremendous success and we couldn’t be prouder to stand alongside the cricket clubs in our local communities. We look forward to continuing our support next season and beyond, helping grassroots cricket flourish at every level.
