At Steven Eagell Group, we have been working with the Auto30Club for many years to improve the gender balance across the industry and create a more diverse, inclusive workforce.
The Auto30Club is a network of over 70 automotive CEOs and MDs who are committed to inclusive leadership and creating gender-balanced businesses. The Club, founded by Julia Muir in 2016, also supports businesses in better serving their customer base, enhancing their overall performance and removing the unconscious bias and obstacles that prevent talented diverse women from progressing up the career ladder.
As part of the Auto30Club’s ‘This Girl is Me’ Campaign 2025, female employees working in various roles across our business are visiting local schools to talk to students about their experience of being a woman working in the automotive industry.
Nicole Bargh, Executive Assistant based at our Head Office in Milton Keynes, visited Kimbolton Primary Academy in Cambridgeshire as part of the school’s Careers Week.
During her visit, Nicole talked to students about her career journey, what’s involved in her day-to-day role and the wide range of opportunities the sector offers. She spoke about the Auto30Club and why, at Steven Eagell Group, we’re passionate about inspiring more girls and women to consider a future career in the industry. Nicole also organised a series of games and interactive activities to help students learn about the automotive industry in a fun and engaging way.
In an industry that has historically been male-dominated, particularly in certain roles, we want to show young girls that, regardless of their skills or interests, they can have a hugely successful career in our industry. By connecting school-aged girls with the inspiring women already thriving across our business, we hope to spark curiosity, boost confidence and inspire a new generation of women to explore long and successful careers in automotive.
We hope Nicole’s visit to Kimbolton Primary Academy was truly inspiring for the students who took part!
