Our CEO, Steven Eagell, has renewed his Silver membership of the Auto30Club, strengthening our company’s commitment to improving the gender balance across all roles and creating a truly diverse environment.
The Auto30Club is a network of over 70 automotive CEOs and MDs who have made a commitment to be inclusive leaders and build diverse, gender-balanced businesses. The Club, founded by Julia Muir in 2016, aims to improve the gender balance and diversity in the sector, while supporting businesses in better serving their customer base, enhancing their overall performance and removing the unconscious bias and obstacles that prevent talented diverse women from progressing up the career ladder.
Since our CEO first became a member of the Auto30Club in 2021, we have made significant progress towards achieving our goal of creating a more inclusive culture; progress that has already delivered tremendous benefits across the business. Adapting recruitment processes to attract more female candidates has had a particularly positive impact. We have been successful in increasing the number of women we employ, while net promoter scores from annual Employee Engagement surveys have seen significant improvement. Not only this, we recently appointed our first female General Manager and the development of female colleagues continues to be supported via learning, development and leadership programmes.
